Our Rating: 4.7 out of 5
Brand Update (March 2026): In late 2024, GN Audio restructured its consumer hearing aid business and rebranded the Jabra Enhance product line. The brand no longer operates as an independent direct-to-consumer hearing aid company. Products may still be available through the GN Hearing/ReSound portfolio, but the original Jabra Enhance purchasing experience, pricing structure, and bundled audiologist support described below may have changed. Verify current availability at jabraenhance.com or resound.com. For current OTC recommendations, see our best OTC hearing aids guide.
We want to be straightforward with you: Jabra Enhance earned our highest rating of any hearing aid we’ve tested, and the product itself was excellent. David on our team tested all three models extensively and was genuinely impressed — the Select 500 in particular handled noisy restaurants better than any other OTC device he tried.
However, GN Audio restructured and rebranded the Jabra Enhance line in late 2024, and the brand no longer operates the way it did when we originally reviewed it. The hearing aid technology was top-tier, but the direct-to-consumer model, bundled audiologist support, and pricing structure described in this review may no longer apply.

Sound Quality
Jabra Enhance’s sound processing is among the most natural of any OTC brand we’ve tested. In quiet home environments, speech clarity is excellent — conversations sound realistic rather than amplified and compressed.
The Select 500 particularly excels in challenging acoustic environments. Its advanced directional microphone technology and noise reduction algorithms do a meaningful job of isolating speech from background noise in restaurants and social settings. The Select 50R performs admirably for everyday use but shows more limitations in complex acoustic environments.
Audiologist Support — Where Jabra Enhance Truly Stands Apart
The single biggest differentiator between Jabra Enhance and most OTC competitors is the included audiologist support. Three years of unlimited virtual appointments with licensed audiologists means buyers never have to navigate settings adjustments, program questions, or fit concerns alone.
In our testing, audiologist appointments were easy to schedule, the professionals were knowledgeable and patient, and follow-up adjustments were made promptly. For first-time hearing aid wearers — who often struggle during the adjustment period — this support can make the difference between success and abandonment.
Bluetooth and Connectivity
All three Jabra Enhance models connect via Bluetooth to both iPhone and Android smartphones. Audio streaming for calls, music, podcasts, and navigation works consistently, and the Jabra Sound+ app provides clean, accessible controls for volume, program selection, and balance adjustments.
Accessories:
- TV Streamer ($299): Streams television audio directly to the hearing aids with minimal latency.
- MultiMic ($275): A clip-on or table microphone that picks up a conversation partner’s voice and transmits it directly to the hearing aids — particularly useful in noisy environments.
Battery Life
The Select 500’s 30-hour battery life is exceptional for the OTC category. Even with regular Bluetooth streaming, most users can wear the Select 500 for two full days before needing to recharge. The Select 50R’s 25-hour life is similarly strong.
All models charge in a compact charging case. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
Trial Period and Warranty
Jabra Enhance’s 100-day trial is the most generous in the hearing aid industry. Competitors typically offer 45 days. This extended window gives buyers meaningful real-world time to evaluate the devices across different environments and situations.
Warranty coverage varies by model:
- Select 50R: 1 year
- Select 300: 2 years
- Select 500: 3 years
Who Should Buy Jabra Enhance?
Jabra Enhance has been a top recommendation for:
- First-time hearing aid buyers who want professional guidance without office visits
- Anyone who values a long, risk-free trial period
- Active users who listen to audio regularly via Bluetooth
- People experiencing early tinnitus who want sound therapy features (Select 500)
Since GN Audio restructured and rebranded the Jabra Enhance line in late 2024, the products and purchasing experience described above may no longer be available as listed. Check the manufacturer’s website for current availability. MDHearing ($297/pair), Eargo ($799+/pair), and Lexie ($499+/pair) are strong OTC alternatives with active product lines.
